  1. Cheese and crackers or fruit are a favorite.

    Sometimes they make PB&J sandwiches.


  2. Usually my daughter has yoghurts, biscuits or fruit as a snack. I sometimes give her celery sticks and carrot sticks with a dip of mayo although this isnt very often.

    I would also give her healthy cereal bars but they are a bit expensive!

  3. i dont have a kid but my little cousin comes over and he always has a bannana i some times have one with hime and make funny noises when i eat it to make him lagh

  4. my daughter, who is 8 years old, has plenty of choices.

    some of them are a variety of fruits, like oranges, apples, grapes, or blueberries.

    or she could have a granola bar (special K chocolatey drizzle)

    she could have one of the millions 100 calorie packs i bought, such as oreos, chips ahoy, nutter butters....

    but her favorite snack has to be an ice cream sandwich during summer time.

  6. Healthy Banana Cookies

    INGREDIENTS

    3 ripe bananas

    2 cups rolled oats

    1 cup dates, pitted and chopped

    1/3 cup vegetable oil

    1 teaspoon vanilla extract

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

    In a large bowl, mash the bananas. Stir in oats, dates, oil, and vanilla. Mix well, and allow to sit for 15 minutes. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto an ungreased cookie sheet.

    Bake for 20 minutes in the preheated oven, or until lightly brown.

  9. She is in kindergarten now and her fav after school snack is a waffel.  No butter or anything, just a plain buleberry waffel.

    Some days, an occasional 2 cookie limit.

I have a snack bin in the kitchen, usually stocked with baggies of cheezits, trail mix, pretzels, or granola bars, kudos bars etc.  I also have yogurt in the fridge, and bananas and apples on the counter.  Sometimes I let the kids have a small piece of candy, especially if dinner will be early, but if we have a long time till dinner they have to have a more substantial snack.

  12. well he's 10 and going through a growth spurt, so his afternoon snack is pretty much anything that isn't nailed to the counter. twinkies, bananas, easy mac, ham, lunchablles, popcorn, chips, whatever he can find and will fit in his mouth! he's a bottomless pit and getting expensive! if child labor wasn't against the law, i'd make him get a job and pitch in for groceries!

    My daughter, who is 4, would eat fruit all day long if I let her!
