What does your driver do?

When your driver is not in a race car racing or practicing what does he or she do to give back? Jr gives huge support to the Oak Grove Military Academy, replacing all the windows with better ones at the cost of like 900 bucks each, getting all the equiptment for them to have a football team, etc. supports our troops, and does several appearances. Not to mention promotes and helps younger drivers move up the ladder to success.

I know most drivers pay it back/forward in one way or another. Just wonder if you know some of the things your driver does to do so. Maybe some wouldn't be haters if they knew what went on behind the scenes.

  1. Greg Biffle.  The Greg Biffle Foundation helps rescue dogs and cats.  I am from  Louisiana and we appreciate the work he did for pets in the Gulf Coast region, after Katrina.

  2. Kyle has an organization to help underprivileged kids, who have been taken from their homes, due to neglect, or abuse.

He also has a program through Pedigree to help raise money for no-kill animal sanctuaries, and has been known to volunteer at several of them around NC.

  3. i don't know all the specifics of what the busch brothers do, but i do know kyle (and his father tom) run kyle's late model team for his company, kyle busch motorsports, and requires that his young driver learn how to work on his own car and other things like that to really understand how the pieces really work together, just as he had to do. i know he does many personal appearances at schools and children's homes, as discussed in an article in usa today: "[Kyle's spotter Jeff] Dickerson says what critics don't see is the driver he must track down because he's off buying a couch for a children's home, or that Busch committed roughly $500,000 to charitable efforts through his foundation in the last two years."

kurt on the other hand, has progressed even farther with his charitable work. kurt donated over $1 million initially to the victory junction gang camp to build what became the kurt busch superdome - a 15,000 foot indoor sports facility that opened earlier this year. he also does the "ride with kurt for the kids" - an auction of rides with him at various tracks with all the proceeds going to his foundation. for his work, "Kurt received Official Certificates of Commendation from the offices of State of Nevada Governor Jim Gibbons and Second District of Nevada U.S. Congressman Dean Heller for his outstanding humanitarian contributions, both personally and on behalf of the Kurt Busch Foundation."

  4. Jimmie has the Jimmie Johnson Foundation. They help with a variety of causes. Right now they are raising money for the Midwest flood victims..It seems like because they are not rioting, and getting much media attention like New Orleans,no one is rushing to help them...

  5. He also helped out the military school that his dad sent him to as a child.

  6. Well I have posted this before and talked or typed all about it.  I will do it again because I think it is just awesome and it shows just what this guy is made of.

Still...haters are haters...and it doesn't matter what he does off the track that shows the real man...it's if he wins a race or wrecks a favorite etc..that matters to most.
