  1. Mike Mussina-Pitch more innings

  2. Tim Lincecum

    umm..

  3. Greg Maddux

Go back in time about 10 years.

  4. Chad Billingsley

Needs improvement: being more efficient w/ his pitches

  5. I don't think you can give advice to a 353 game winner.  =)

  6. you took mine

so ill say striking out less and hitting with RISP

  7. a rod- less strikeouts

  8. Mark Ellis

I love him for his maturity and also for he's flawless defense, but I think he can hit better.  He hit like .313 a few seasons ago and batted leadoff.  Currently, the A's lack a true lead off hitter and I wish Ellis can up that batting average.

But for now, I hope his injury isnt severe and wish him a speedy recovery.

  9. Sammy Sosa, needs to have some team give him a chance, came back last year, had a good year for the Rangers and for some reason has been black-balled, a disgrace.

  10. Tim Lincecum

Needs Improvement: The only thing lincecum needs to do is learn how to throw less pitches and last in the games longer, but other than that he is the most dominant pitcher in baseball

  11. Derek Jeter has not had a Jeter year hitting over.300 what i think he just needs to stop Hitting in to Double Plays thats all and hit for a Better Average thats all

  12. My favorite young player right now is Evan Longoria of my Tampa Bay Rays.  He hits for good power (still developing -- that's scary), doesn't run the bases too badly (good, selective base stealer), and plays excellent defense for a player of his experience.  What he needs to do is exactly what many others need to work on doing: improve his batting average and cut down on strikeouts.  Through 104 games before his wrist injury, he already had 102 strikeouts.  .278 is not a bad average, but he should work a little more on contact hitting and plate discipline.  As more power develops itself naturally, the home runs will pick back up.

  13. Jason Varitek needs to swing the bat better. A lot better. I think his .221 average and 36 RBI speak for themselves...

He obviously doesn't look talented at all if you don't look beyond the stat sheet. The impact he has on the team as a whole is incredible. The way he connects with pitchers and makes young/new pitchers feel comfortable is impressive. Everyone can agree he's much better as a leader than a hitter.

  14. Roy Halladay...Let's see...how do you improve a guy who's been almost perfect this season. Other than his rubber arm, his unbelievable command, and ability to strike out batters when he wants to...I guess he can improve more on his command so he has EVEN better command (to a point where he doesn't throw balls, only strikes), get the Jays to give him run support so he doesn't pitch a game where the score is 0-0 into the 9th inning. Other than that...I think the sums up on what he needs to improve on...Oh yeah, he needs to improve on that change up he added to his repertoire.

  15. Scott Kazmir HAS to work on pitch count. He's an elite strikeout pitcher, but recently, he's only been able to go 5 innings per game. I have no problem if he becomes a contact pitcher because with Percival hurt, a 5 inning start is just going to wear out the bullpen and fast(maybe even before the playoffs) He basically has to return to his old form and should be alright.
