  1. An English bulldog for all the reasons you've listed above.

And good for you for taking the time to think these things through!!

I have an English bullie myself and he's great for apt living. They will shed, but they have short hair so it's less visible, unless you're wearing dark clothing.

They don't require a lot of exercise and LOVE being around people, but with proper training on your end, are great on their own throughout the day as well.

And while they are not necessarily lap dog proportions, they don't get very big either.

    Good luck!

  2. do you mean you are 11? sorry but your not old enough to look after a dog properly.i'm sure your parents look after the pets.

  3. I would try your shelter :D try to find...

    Bichon Frise

    Miniature Scnauzer

or a mix of one of those

    good luck!

  4. A Toy Maltese would be great for you. I had one and she was great. Not very energetic, does not shed and only weighed 4 pounds. She was also very adorable.

  5. I suggest going to the local shelter.  They always have advice and know what types of dogs can suite people better.  There are a lot of rescue sites that are available on line to view as well.  Just type in a search in any search engine and search for dog rescue groups in your area.  Either way, both facilities would have excellent ideas for you.

  6. Go to animal planet and do the quiz. BTW, are you able to do daily grooming??? a lot of small dogs have extensive grooming needs. Besides, they're small but still dogs, not toys that you use on weekends and put on a shelf throughout the week :)

  7. I'm going to be honest...no dog at all. Why? well all dogs need to walk everyday at least two times a day. they need to be loved all the time, especially small dogs. they cant be left home alone more than 7 hours. all dogs are energetic. especially the small ones. and if you want a dog that is close to you....you will have to play with it a lot, walk it a lot, ...etc. so I'm telling you not to get a dog right now because the dog will not be happy what so ever. if you think I'm wrong ask a humane society. or call a veterinary clinic. if you want a happy healthy dog, don't get one now. trust me, i know...does anyone else agree with me?

  8. a bichon frise...they are not vocal, dont shed, and they can entertain them selves but yet be near you at the same time.  Also they range from 10-20lbs and are intelligent.  They do get soem random bursts of energy but can run around an apartment or something to get it out.
