What dog do you think would be good for a person in college in a 4 room apartment?

NO dog is good for a kid in college.

Blue Heelers are one of the worst for apartmant living.  They are active, strong, intelligent WORKING dogs, and will never suit your lifestyle.  Wait 'til you get out and then look for a dog, or make sure you have money to repair the apartment and the furniture.

I would make sure the other three roommates are ok with any dog, then discuss your picks with them. And then get a dog only if you’re 100% sure you’ll live in pet friendly housing for the next 20 years.

you want a small dog. you should spend enough time with them to get a feel of their personality.

well i have a yorkie.

she is sweet. small and not too loud..

and i trained her to sleep in her cage.

so i she is ready to go to bed...

that's where she goes.

they are really smart dogs too.

you can usually train them pretty easily to not

use the bathroom in the house. so

if it were me....

a smaller dog would be better ( i am a big dog person. herc is about 160lbs) small dogs will damage hardwood floors less. they also will not bother the people below if they go running through the house... for the same reason.. if there is a quiet breed of small dogs that would be something to think about. another thing to figure is life style... if you are gone forom the house a lot.. a less needy dog would be better.. needy dogs tend to be distructive if they dont get enough attention. i have fixed a lot of chewed up trim and window sills in a friends house because of dino. he stopped when they brought crash into the picture. so now dino is never alone. look at how you live first then find a breed that works with your life style and environment. otherwise it is not fair to the dog.
