  1. German Shepherds are loyal to a fault - they will do anything for their masters, whereas Goldens are a bit more demopcratic, and will consider who has the toys and the food at any given time.  Each has their place.

  2. I don't think loyalty has anything to do with breed selection, but more about training and the strength of the bond you have with a dog.

However, if a stranger were to walk into a home with a golden retriever, I believe the golden would be more apt to go up to the stranger, tail wagging, saying "Hi, how are you"  The german shepherd dog may not be so friendly when strangers invade their turf.

  3. i have a golden rtriever ans i think they are great but germain sheperds would fight someone and protect you so go with the german sheperd.research them if u already havent.whick one would fit you beetter?

  4. They are both loyal but in different ways.  Golden's were bred to be a man's partner in the field and get along with different people.  GSD's were bred to be guardians and protectors of their person and family.

This is a generalization and individual personality is a factor.

  5. German Shepherd

  6. they are BOTH VERY loyal breeds, I have 2 goldens now (3 and 4 yrs old) , had 1 previously that I lost to cancer and have a 9 yr old German Shepherd.  The Shepherd tends to be more 'protective' of his surroundings and territory and the Golden can be as well, but the Golden is more of a 'happy go lucky' dog.  Both are GREAT breeds to have.

  7. Bloody (Anti-Jonas Brothers), I love the look of a german shepherd dog. They are so cute.

  8. I like the lab best.  Golden's are loyal but they love who they're with.  Shepard's are also loyal but have bad separation anxiety until they reattach to another person.

  9. You can't judge a dogs loyalty by its breed, it all depends on the dog. Its kind of like saying "What people are smarter, Asians, or Africans?" Because there really is not an answer. Every dog is special, and either could be loyal, and loving.

  10. Loyalty isn't breed related.

Any type of dog will be loyal, it's up to you to build the relationship with them.

  11. golden
