I dont know how to spell this but Multese stay the same size most of the time. I got a Chiuwauwa Multese Mix and a Papion and they are both tiny. But Papions eat too much.

  8. Well, all puppies get bigger which I'm sure you realize.  All toy breeds stay small though and don't get to be much bigger then let's say a Lab pup that's a few months old! If you want a dog that's going to stay pretty tiny, I'd lean towards a Chihuahua, a Maltese, a Yorkshire Terrier, a Papillion, a Miniature Pinscher, or a Pomeranian.  See what size the parents are to get an idea how big they'll be.  The pups usually won't get much bigger than the larger parent.  I like to recommend getting puppies and dogs from shelters but it sounds like you want a puppy and there's not much way of knowing how big it'll get if it's a mixed breed from a shelter.  If you do get an AKC puppy, get it from a reputable breeder who breeds indoors (not in a kennel) and keeps them around the family.  Make sure they are also guaranteed for genetic health problems which a lot of the smaller breeds are prone to especially heart problems.  Obviously, NEVER EVER buy a puppy from a pet store!  They usually come from puppy mills or they are the rejects from big breeders and you end up paying way too much money.  Good luck in whatever you decide!  I'd recommend getting the book, THE DOG BREED BIBLE by D.Caroline Coile, PH.D. put out by Barron's.  PETSMART usually carries it along with a lot of specific breed books.  Once again, I hope you find the puppy of your dreams and it brings you many years of happiness!  DOGS RULE!
