  1. their inlaws, Queen Mary was married to Philp of spain for a short while.

  2. I'm assuming you mean Queen Elizabeth I of England and King Phillip II (as in the second and not the eleventh) of Spain.  I think the first answer was a bit confused.

  3. Elizabeth I of England and Philip II of Spain were both descendants from the House of Lancaster.

Both rulers could speak each other's languages fluently.

Philip prevented Protestantism from gaining a grip in Spain and Elizabeth prevented Catholicsim from gaining a grip in England.

  4. Ummm, they were BEFORE Victoria, so they didn't descend from her.  And neither had much German Blood.  Don't think Elizabeth had any.  Though Felipe had some descendency from Austria, he didn't actually have any GERMAN blood.

Try doing your own research.  I suggest putting those names into the search window and clicking enter.

  5. Both descend from Queen Victoria

    Both love Horses

    Both have German Blood

  6. Go to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Philip_II_o... and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elizabeth_I...  Read the two articles (they are not very long) and you'll be able to easily see what they had in common.  Presto!  Your homework is done!

And Elizabeth I is NOT a descendant of Queen Victoria.

    best of luck to you!

  7. They were arch rivals for sea power in the late 1500s, they were also brothers in law, as Philip II of Spain had married Queen Mary I of england, Elizabeth's half sister.

Edit. Uh, Rachelle? how was Philip of Spain descended from the House of Lancaster?
