  1. That depends on what type of prescription you're talking about. If you are myopic (shortsighted) and are trying someone else's minus prescription, you will be able to focus your vision, because you will be slightly farsighted. Basically, if you don't try to focus, you will see nearby items blurry, while far away items will be clear. Although, if you try on a very strong prescription, you won't be able to see items at all distances.

If you are hyperopic (farsighted) and are trying someone else's plus prescription, then you will notice that far away items will suddenly become blurry and that you won't have to focus to see items up close (that is, you won't have to use the muscles in your eye. The distance in which this happens depends upon the strength of the perscription).

Now, there's an astigmatic perscription, but this depends on the type of prescription you're putting on, because astigmatism occurs in different places in the eye. When I put on astigmatic lenses that are too strong, walls become curved and lines aren't straight in some directions. Also, reading in every distance becomes tough. This is difficult to explain, so I'll just provide a link to wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Astigmatism...

There are also higher order abberations, but these are tough to explain.

These are suited to each different person, so when you use someone else's perscription you won't be able to see things in every distance and the image you will see will be completely distorted.

  2. If their prescription is stronger than yours it will look blurry and you will feel dizzy.

  3. That's called abusing prescription pills. Don't do it, it can get you reeeeal bad.

  4. It might hurt more or if what you got is not serious, it may only expitite or hurry up the outcome of where you are heading.  lol :)
