What dose it mean that a game is a japan version?

the game I'm looking at is a japan version and i don't want a game that is a different language ?

  1. Depends on what system you're talking about. Some games are restricted by region so that they won't play on your US console. If you don't want a Japanese language version, then don't get that game. (Although I've played Japanese games before and don't read or speak Japanese... well I can count to a 100, but that's pretty much the extent).  


  2. japanese version just means that the written and oral content is in japanese. the american versions usually come out half a year later than the japanese versions.

  3. It will be in Japanese, and if the system you're going to be playing it on isn't region-free (meaning that it doesn't matter where the game was made, you can play it on that system), then you won't be able to play it.

    For instance, if you wanted a Japanese Wii game, it would not play on your European or American Wii. However, it would play on a Japanese Wii.
