What dose it mean to have mucus in your Fallopian tube?

My best friend just had an op to look at her left fallopian tube as she had an ectopic pregnancy 5 months ago and they ran dye through her tubes and found that the left one is dead and the right one is full of mucus she doesn't know what this means as the dr was quick to run off and not answer her questions dose anyone know what cause the mucus to build up or is it sperm from trying to hard to conceive. Please only real answers she do sent need the run around again like she is getting from her dr's

Please help her!!!

  1. First, I recommend that your best friend seek out an examination from a REAL OBGYN.  Considering that she had an etopic pregnancy 5 months ago and now there is mucus in her other tubes.  There are several causes to this:  

    Infection - This is a very common cause. The most common infection to cause blockage is a bacteria known as Chlamydia which is a sexually transmitted disease.



    Inflammation from an episode of appendicitis

    Severe Endometriosis

    Large fibroids in the uterus

    Sterilization

    Unfortunately, I do not know the age of your best friend or her childbearing wishes.  However, this is not something to wait on.  Shame on the doctor for not being more compassionate during your best friend's time of need!
