What drills and things can i do with my dad to be a better DS or libero?

  1. have him pass you the ball. then after you master that then have him do down balls at you. Then have him do free balls not right to you but like 5 feet away ..you run and pass the ball back. Then have him do down balls away from you. that should get your feet going and practice you passing skills. GOOD LUCK!


  2. -have him toss freeballs back and forth from left to right, while you shuffle back and forth to them

    -have him downball/hit the volleyball at you

    -if there's an open gym by your house go there and have your dad serve the ball at you....

    -by yourself you can practice shuffling maybe in your backyard back and forth so you can get quicker

    -quad exercises

    -practice sprints. when someone shanks the ball out of the court, the ds/libero is the main passer... you'd be on of the faster players to help "save" the ball.  

    -even practice jump serving for back row attacks.

  3. heres some things i would do...

    run sprints to get faster

    use a bouncy ball to increase reaction time

    pass to yourself against a wall

    do wall sits to strengthen your thigh muscles

    stretch so your flexable

    do ab work outs and lift weights

    run for endurance so you wont tire out in games

    do wall jump blocks to get your calves strong

    do alot of shuffles

    jump rope to get your legs stronger

    get your lateral movements down (side to side) so that you can shuffle to the ball
