What drinks and how much should i get for a smaller (about 10 people) party?

what basic alcoholic drinks should i get and some good mixers?

Get a crate of about 16 beers for beer drinkers, and possibly a pair of large bottles of some sort  of spirits. Vodka's cheap and a good choice. Possibly some whiskey too if your budget allows it.

Mixerswise, I'd recommend a couple of 2 liter bottles of coke and maybe some fruit juice (orange juice for screwdrivers and cranberry for cosmopolitans).

Also, remember to buy some ice if your freezer doesn't make any, and sliced fruit (lemon and lime) always go down well.

i would get prolly 1 or 2 30 packs and maybe a half gallon of some good liquor

Depends on the crowd.. maybe a coupld different 12 packs of beer.. or mojotos are always a hit at my house.. you can buy some white rum at the liqor store.. and a premade mojito miz at the groecery store.. very good! rum and coke is always easy and good! or vodka and cranberry juice.. or vodka and orange juice!
