  1. A Reliant Robin is classed as a car so all you need to drive it is your full Car License. You do not need a motorbike license at all as it is not classed as a motorbike!

  2. all the above are spot on , its surprising how many people dont know this . forget the stories of covering the passenger seat or taking it out . ( and blanking of reverse gear ! )

  3. It is classed as a motor tricycle, and as such you can drive it on a 'full' motorbike licence.

Note,.. it does not mean you drive on a provisional licence, (unless accompanied by a qualified driver) nor on a moped licence.

  4. A Reliant Robin or Regal is Category B1 on a U.K. driving licence (quads and 3-wheelers up to 550kg).

You can drive B1 vehicles if you have either a full motorcycle licence (Category A) or a full car licence (Category B) or both.

  5. I believe that you could drive REALLY old 3 wheelers on a bike license, these cars did not have a reverse gear.

  6. My late Grandfather used to have 'Snowdrop' a white Reliant.  He had a full motorbike licence and never passed (or took) a car driving licence.  They are not the most comfortable of rides (having spent many a journey in the boot - illegal probably nowadays - there was no lid on it, I wasn't shut in!!)  I don't know if a bike licence is enough nowadays.  Might be best to check with the DVLA.

  7. It's considered a motorcycle, so you need an "M" endorsement.

  8. motorcycle licence if your brave enough to drive a 3 wheel reliant

  9. full motorcycle licence

  10. You need full Cat B1 on your licence.

You will have this if you have passed a Cat A (motorcycle) or Cat B (car) test.
