I found 2 capsules in my 17 year old son's pocket, they look as though they were taken apart and put back together using a liquid seal. The capsules are clear but they are filled with a brownish powder, could it possibly be mescaline?,I have looked on all the online pill finder and come up with no results. The capsule also says FC119 on it but if it WAS taken apart it wouldn't matter what the pill used to be but maybe I am wrong about it being sealed....please help I am very very worried.

thank you

  1. if they are in his pocket, then there is more in his room, school bag, closet, desk, etc If I were you I'd sit him down on his bed and tell him that you are going to search his room and if he doesn't want anything tore apart, then he better tell you where they are. and if he doesn't tell you then start looking. You could take the pills to a pharmacy and see if they could tell you what kind of pills they are.

I hope that I didn't ramble on too much, and my advise helped:)  Good Luck!

  2. Yes, have it analyzed so when you have a talk with him your one step ahead, because he may be abusing drugs and in denial and come up with all kinds of story's to confuse you more

  3. I did a search using the description you provided [clear capsules filled with a brownish powder with the imprint FC119] and came with a match: Psyllium Fiber 0.52 gm. This is a bulk-forming laxative. Take a look at the images and description on the following link:

But if you still have any doubts [I'd have doubt if it was my daughter], specially if you're sure that the pills were taken apart and then glued together again, confront your son about it and see how he reacts. Heroin and Crystal Meth are also brownish powders, and any of them might be the one's that is inside. If you can afford it, you can take the pills to a chemistry lab for analysis of the contents; if it's an illegal substance they'll find out. You may also take a sample of your son's hair or urine {make sure that you're with him watching as he urinates, so he doesn't play any tricks} and take it to a clinical laboratory for drug testing. And be on the look for any odd behavior, unexplained needle marks in any part of his body, or drug use paraphernalia such as syringes or smoking pipes on his room, backpack, etc. These are all red flags that your boy might be experimenting with drugs.

  4. Fc119 is psyllium, which is generic for Metamucil. Like you said, this is irrelevant if in fact you feel he "refilled" the capsule.

Trust your instincts. You will never regret being vigilant about your son't well-being, but you will regret looking the other way if in fact he needs help. Either way, this won't be easy unfortunately. But, you need to do the best thing for the long term.

I agree with having the pill analyzed as others said. Also, there are now inexpensive home drug testing kits. Best of luck!

  5. it doesnt matter what pill it is...just know that hes not using them for medication but using them to get high, so yea you should be worried unfortunately especially if theyve been refilled wit somtin. take em away and ask him  good luck

  6. Mescaline make you throw up a lot of the time (per a former classmate in college), so if he seems to be pukey after a night out and you don't smell alcohol, then I'd wonder.  At any rate, he's obviously abusing SOMEthing, and you need to have a long talk, maybe take him in for drug tests.  Good luck and God bless...
