On the covergirl site it says: "P&G, maker of CoverGirl cosmetics, does not test beauty products on animals; nor do we ask suppliers to test them on our behalf. We do not test beauty ingredients on animals, except in rare cases when needed to meet regulatory or safety obligations." so does that mean they don't test most products on animals??

  1. not cover girl lol. physicians formula doesnt test on animals, neither does elf.

  2. only wet n wild and revlon

  3. http://search.caringconsumer.com/ this will tell you a lot of the brands that do and don't test on animals and also tells you what brands are vegan

  4. I don't personally know all the brands, but I do know that Safeway brand laundry soap is "cruelty free" as the PETA people call it.  My sister is a member of PETA and she has a whole list of products which are cruelty free.   She always reminds me to buy Safeway's house brand of laundry soap.

I don't know how you can obtain the list, but maybe from PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals).

Oh, I see you're asking about brands of makeup.   I'm sure there are some of those also, but I don't know which ones.   I personally have to use hypoallergenic makeup for myself, so I don't take time to study to see if they're also cruelty-free.

  5. DO TEST:

    Maybelline

    Covergirl

    Sally Hansen

    Neutrogena

    L'Oreal

    Max Factor

    DON'T TEST:

    Revlon

    Almay

    Physicians Formula

    Rimmel (I think)

    Prestige

    Wet N Wild
