My personal email address has been forged through another ISP rather than BT Yahoo. I am concerned that this could be used by spammers etc claiming to be me.

  1. Your employer should give you a work email address thereby not interfering with your personal e mail.

  2. If it is your personal email and you are accessing thru your work - they have no duty of care - the responsibility is yours - you should be working - not using their systems to check your email.

I don't mean that in a nasty way or sounding as though I'm telling you to get back to work - but they have no responsibility for your actions on your own email.

However, that aside - you do not give enough detail about your work - if you work form home and use your email to keep in touch with work - the scenario may be different.
