  1. I've heard from my guy friends that, when they were younger, Hawaii was the best place they were ever stationed.  


  2. The best place I have been stationed is Germany.  The people are friendly and the food is outstanding.  You can also yravel to anyplace in EU without a passport.

  5. Hawaii!!!! you got people coming their year round. Its on the beach and i mean hey theirs always a party

  6. I can't STAND 29 palms! The humidity is so disgusting. It's worse then South Carolina (and that says a lot). The best duty station for single Marines IMHO would be Brussels in Belgium! So many things to do there, you are never bored. As for stateside tours I LOVE Camp Pendleton. Huge base, with lots of outdoor activites to do in oceanside, plus you're only 45 minutes away from Tijuana; so you can get jacked up on the weekends.

    California duty stations for the Marines

    San Diego - close to the Mexican border and the ocean - (there are restrictions on going across the border now though) the clubbing scene is hot and there are beach bunnies

    29 Palms - it's not that far of a drive from Palm Springs, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, San Bernardino --- my husband and I meet at a club in the Inland empire  I think there is more fun possibilities at 29 Palms to see California the base and the people there are really chill

    We are now in Hawaii and as a single guy I think you would have a great time --- it's also pretty chill depending on your command --- all my hubby's single friends have a blast in Waikiki on the weekends, going to the beach and surfing (you might get island fever, like me, and miss the mainland & its prices & food choices though)
