What dvd camcorder has the best video quality?

I'm looking for a dvd camcorder but don't know which one has the best picture quality. I am basically using it just for vacation memories and maybe soccer games and random stuff so I don't really need one that is over the top...but wants one with very good picture quality!

There is no such thing as a DVD camcorder with good video... especially if you want to edit the video.

If you care a lot about quality, go for MiniDV over DVD. DVD camcorders use heavier compression for inferior quality. Also, check to make sure the models you're interested in have 3CCDs instead of just one.
