  1. tip 15% and being nice.

  2. I own a restaurant and can give you a few tips that my customer tell me.  Always keep drink full.  Be attentive.  No playing around. No sitting around.  Keep busy.  Act professional.  Smile Smile Smile.  My servers receive 15 to 20% average.  The ones that do these things get much more than the others every night.

  3. If I get good service then I tip 15% If I get exceptinaly good service I give 20 %! If i get lousy service I leave 5% tip!  If iI get really lousey service I leave 2 cents!

  4. Depending on the class of restaurant. In a high end restaurant 20% or more if everything was exceptional.  Except for fast food places 15% is reasonable.  Of course if you feel that your experience was really good tip accordingly. Everywhere is different.  Common sense is best. A servers job is not easy. Don't be mean & abusive.  They would know at the time if something went wrong.......bon apetite

  5. A great server doesn't treat every table the same.  Some people like to be left alone, and others like to be babied.  Personally, I hate when my drink is empty.  I love having it filled or replaced without asking.  I like when a server makes eye contact when making the rounds so I don't have to flag them down.  Also, if a server makes a recommendation I will take it half of the time.  If I have a great experience 20%.  Average experience can be around 12-15% and poor is between 1-10%

  6. Politeness and efficiency.  15% left in cash on the table for good service...
