What easy steps to do to save our planet/environment?

It's heartbreaking seeing all disasters in everywhere which are due to human's uncaring environmental management. Please tell me few things to start so I can contribute in saving our planet. I don't mean a big step to take...but at least with small steps I make and with others, we can make "huge" contribution to save our beloved planet.

-Don't use plastic bags (give it back if they give you one automatically)

- Don't leave lights/electrical equipment on when it's no being used

-Recycle everything you can (glass/cardboard/paper/plastic)

- Compost! (You can buy a kind of compost bin that goes in the garden somewhere and then put all veg waste in it)

- Buy fairtrade

- Get a hippo bag/save a flush bag to put in you toilet so it uses less water

- Shower instead of bath

-Try and purhase food that doesnt have too much packaging!

-Don't buy those Ferrero Rocher chocolates.Too much packaging!

-Don't leave your computer on for the whole night.

Turn off water when brushing teeth.  Water runs down the drain when we are brushing & when soaping as we shower.  It's OK to turn the water off, then back on when it's really needed instead of letting gallons run down the drain.  I love respecting our natural resources.
