  1. Seals and whales?  Ha, ha, ha, that's a good one.  Wheeeu, don't believe that for a minute.

    Hawks, eagles, sharks, and large predatory fish will pick them off.  Water birds, like Seagulls and Ducks, etc, are very vulnerable when they're on the water's surface swimming about.  A predator can swim up from underneath and grab them by the feet or underbelly and pull them down and eat them.  In the tropics of South America, in the inland rivers, these water birds, including sea birds, are very vulnerable, especially as youngsters, to the Purana fish waiting below for any bird to land on the water or a baby to fall into it.

    Penguins are sea birds too, and they ARE fed upon by seals, sharks, and large fish.  But I believe you were referring to the flying type of birds.


  2. There are many species of sea birds, including penguins.  They have many predators, humans, whales, seals, bears, fox, otter, sharks, fish, marine reptiles, and other birds.

  4. i have seen a lot of videos where if sharks are really hungry and desperate they will snack on a bird floating about in the water. its quite funny really
