SHe was homeschooled until age 9, then sent to a prep school, Riddlesworth Hall, in Norfolk, England until the age of 12. Di then was sent to the West Heath School in Kent, England, which is a school for troubled teens. she dropped out from West Heath at 16. She attended finishing school in Switzerland, at Chateau d'Oex, but didn't finish as she left after being there a few months. So her education was mostly private, but she lacked the sticking power to complete it. The late Diana, Princess of Wales was first educated at Silfield School [Kings Lynn, Norfolk], then at Riddlesworth Hall in Norfolk and at West Heath Girls' School (later reorganised as the New School at West Heath, a special school for boys and girls) in Sevenoaks, Kent, where she was regarded as a poor student, having attempted and failed all of her O-levels twice.

In 1977, at the age of 16, she left West Heath and briefly attended Institut Alpin Videmanette, a finishing school in Rougemont, Switzerland. At about that time, she first met her future husband, who was dating her sister, Lady Sarah. Diana reportedly excelled in swimming and diving and longed to be a ballerina. She studied ballet for a time, but at 5'10" was too tall. Diana moved to London before she became seventeen. An apartment was purchased for her at Coleherne Court in the Earls Court area, and she lived there until 1981 with three flatmates.

Diana was educated in private schools,an undemanding education common for girls of her class who were expected to marry well.She attended boarding schools at Riddlesworth Hall and  West Heath .Diana left West Heath with no academic qualifications(O levels) for college.She attended a finishing school,Institut Alpin Videmanette in Switzerland,but only stayed for one term.
