What effect could pesticides killing helpful insects have on angiosperms? Will it make it harder to pollinate?

  1. Usually insecticides like monocrotophos which are having systemic action, will be absorbed to the plant and get concentrated in Flowers and nectare. The bees are killed due to this systemic effect. But pollination is not seriously affected, instead it pollutes environment.


  2. Well angiosperms are: flowering plants that have their ovules enclosed within a specialized membrane

    And insects are needed to pollinate angiosperms. Therefore if pesticides kill insects it will be harder to pollinate but not impossible.
