  1. not much at start there was a lot of opposition , but most places now have an outside covered area for smokers, it is fab to go home still smelling fresh and not reeking of smoke after a night out, went to Spain lately and nearly died with amount of smoke in pubs didn't realise till then what  a cleaner and healthier environment we live in now,

  2. In Dublin its killing their trade. Also its a job to get into a pub because of all the smokers standing in the doorway having a puff.

  3. It is a much more healthier place.  People who don't smoke don't have to be forced to inhale it just because other people do (Second hand smoke).  People can eat and drink in peace without people near them puffing smoke in their face and the food tastes nicer without all the chemicals in the air.  It is a much more comfortable atmosphere.

  4. I'm not from Ireland but I just wanted to say how much I'm looking forward to the ban!  As an ex-smoker, I now hate coming home from the pub and reeking of other peoples' f**s!  And it often gives me a nasty cough. My husband's asthmatic and when he's bad he has to avoid the pub which is a huge part of our lifestyle!  So we're both very excited about it.  I've heard a lot of positive things coming out of the ban in Ireland so I should imagine it will be a good thing here too!  Infact, I feel a question coming on!!X

  5. All the doctors left for the pub

  6. They smell better!
