  1. Bugsy,

I was told you cannot get pregnant while nursing, right. Well, I began spotting....Even, felt as though I may have been pregnant, right. Well one evening my then husband & I were watching a good movie, when all of a sudden I just could not stay up any longer, right. He says:  "What do you mean your going to bed?" I said I dont know why, but I am so exhausted right now, I have to lay down. So off to bed I went. Had I not had to get up to go pody, I'd of bled to death in bed. I was pregnant, and almost died! They wanted to give me a blood transfusion. But, he my then husband wouldn't see of it, with "Aid's" just hitting America in those days, the "80s"! So, my advice to you, would be to use contraceptive such as female condems, anything that isn't the pill form, nothing that can get in your milk. My son didn't seem to act any different, while nursing and being pregnant. He stil ate very well. I'd just be extra careful of getting pregnant. I've heard of women on this site say they did get pregnant while nursing and just had their kids closer in age. I never ever heard about any of this during my child bearing years!! Sure wish I had, because my almost dieing sure scared the c**p out of alot of loved one's!! And it all could have been prevented you know.. Just play thing safe is my suggestion to you, hun.. Oh, and enjoy that Beautiful Baby while he's little!! They grow-up so, so fast!! :(

  2. usually when your breastfeeding your period does not return until your done, but in case it does, there is no effect just like if you get sick keep on feeding your little one :)

  3. I'm not even sure if my period is completely back yet. I've not had a 'regular' cycle since Dec 2006. i was pregnant Jan 2007-Sept 2007, then after wards i didn't have a period until this past May (2008). then i skipped June and July but then had one this month.

it's had no issue on my supply. the opposite of that is that i think my period started when my son started eating solids after 6 months. so obviously since i was no longer only feeding breast milk, my body started to readjust.

my supply is still good, baby still nurses like a champ...wish i could go period free for another year though. lol that was awesome!
