Obama made a great selection, choosing someone older, wiser, and more experienced in politics to round out his party's nomination for the presidency.  I feel McCain chose poorly, but was limited from the get go as to his choices.  I think Palin is the closest thing to purity that the Republicans have to offer, so he took it (kind of like a peace offering to all the disgusted Americans after the past 8 years).  Either way, best luck to both parties.
