on seeing faint fuzzies? In particular nebulae. I notice when I wear them during the day anything green becomes very vivid. And after taking them off anything blue seems more noticeable. Since the blue blocker sunglasses block the short wavelengths, if I were to wear them all day and at night while I am becoming dark adapted should it help or hinder my ability to see detail in nebulous objects

  1. True BB's with polarised lenses would offer no advantage to night sky viewing and may even reduce the visible wavelengths, standard BB's amber lenses do give a clearer perceived view of the world during the day, but dampens down the night vision. Now your thought about the effect when you take them off is an acceptable theory I'll have to try, however shutting your eyes for five minutes and then looking at the night sky would probably give you a similar effect.

  2. What the **** are blue blockers?
