If the Mother had to close her legs when giving birth.....lets say..anytime from the start of labour or when almost out....even if the pain is sooooooooo bad and she couldn't close her legs..lets just say she did.....or that the prosess of the baby coming out gets slowed down, would that baby be retarded in any way because of that?

Thank you a load!!

  1. huh? I am sorry. I am not sure waht you are asking. Why would you want to close your legs during birth?Maybe I am misunderstanding your question

  2. She wouldn't have to close her legs when giving birth...

  3. No the baby wouldnt be retarded, it would get slowed down an that can cause harm because the baby will need to immediatly have its lungs cleared to take those first very important breaths.  And im very sure the doctors would not allow her to keep her legs closed.

  4. It is almost IMPOSSIBLE to close your legs during child birth cause they have big beasty nurses holding them back and all you want is to get it over w/ any way. And no, it wouldn't make the baby retarted but it might make it come out and smack ya........

  5. Do you want your baby to be born retarded?

  6. the result could vary...

if you closed your legs (if you can even do that with all the pain) when the head is almost out it could kill the baby.

If the head is not yet out it could affect the shape of the baby's head.

It could also kill the baby due to lack of oxygen and infection.

Just don't close your legs when the baby is already coming out for crying out loud! Let him/her out!!!

  7. I'm sure that the doctors present would not let that happen, or they would try to prevent it, even if a c-section has to be done.  But i dont think that would have a permanent effect on the child unless the mother like closes her legs on the babies body.

  8. ? This question makes no sense.

    Thanks for the free points!

  9. Maybe you should have closed your legs nine months ago, and then you wouldn't be having this problem.

  10. I have a cousin who was born with cerebral palsy and my grandmother swears it was because the nurses in the delivery room kept holding my cousins legs closed while the baby was crowing because the doctor was late, and they wanted her to wait to give birth after he got there.

Sick, isn’t it? The baby's head was all squished out of shape.

It was a long time ago, and all I can remember now was how incredibly pointy that kids head was. And I have seen a lot of naturally delivered babies, so I know that most naturally born babies do have pointy heads. But not THAT pointy! This was back in the 70’s, by the way.

  11. i think im getting what your asking and no the baby will not be starved of oxygen until it is out of the womb and breathing on its own and the umbillical (spelling) cord is cut. so for what your saying no baby will not be retarded if what you say happened as the baby continues to receive oxygen through the umbilical cord which is in the blood from the placenta.
