What effect would this have on gas and oil company if people use non gas cars?

the price of electrical energy would still go up.

They would go bankrupt overnight, but that's why they Lobby so hard to make us still be addicted to oil. But if people where to stater to use non gas cars, the world's air will be a lot cleaner and Global warming will never happened. And electric cars will be everywhere and everyone will be happy because they will get free energy through solar or wind power. So that's why the world's governments don't want us to be energy Independence, especially the U.S. which they make, too much money on oil.

I have a feeling that the oil people wouldn't care,  but then the shift would occur to the electrical, if we use electric cars.  so the electric people would get rich then.  were alll screwed  no matter what we do.
