What effects did THE ASSASSINATION of mahatma gandhi have on the world ?

I'm not talking about how his life changed the world, just the day he was assassinated.... very much appreciated if I could get an answer ASAP ..... homework due for tomorrow =P

  1. I read an article about him and his assassination. Many people across the world, specifically in india, felt as if they lost a brother, a father, and a leader who could keep the world in peace.


  2. Some felt that peace had died.

  3. for one thing, it reinforced the idea that those world leaders who promote peace, no matter how unusual the manner in which they do it as long as it harms no one, are the first to suffer annihilation by some crackpot.  i have a theory:  the world is still looking for a messiah to slaughter in hopes that this time he'll take us with him.

  4. He became inmortal, his time with us was cut so short that he passed on to live in forever as a LEGEND jsut like with Martin Luther King. Their tragic deaths shocked the world in such a way that left everybody wondering ho more would they have acomplished.
