I was told many years ago that the full moon had a dire effect on people with mental health problems. There were an awful lot of crimes around the time of a FULL MOON. It was thought that the lunar rays affected these already mentally ill people, this is where the name LUNATIC comes from,this is how the "Lunatic Asylum " came to be.
