Do you brush it off your shoulder or does a loss like that cause personality / attitude changes? Obviously not long term, just short term.

  1. Regular season Yankee losses typically don't phase me much anymore. Except against the Red Sox, Angels, Mets or if it's a close loss where an error or bad call goes against the Yanks.

I feel bad about it for a few minutes, maybe a half hour and then I move on to something else.

Now playoff losses? Those can keep me from sleeping for a few hours.

  2. Well, honestly, It puts a little bit of doubt into my mind till the next game. It is frustrating when your team loses.  it makes me want to give up, but i never do.  I get a little down, especially when my team could have won if they scored more.  (Phillies bats neeeed to get going again).

  3. trust me 30+ years as a longSUFFERING Ranger fan you think you've seen it all, then you wake up one day, your team scores 17 runs and you still LOSE the game. Yes, I take it very personally and so should anyone who really follows "their team".  As a side note however,..I have made a few psychiatrist a little more wealthy than they otherwise would've been.

  4. It sends my mood down for a couple of hours. But then I rebound and look forward to the next game.

Great game between the Dodgers and Phils, btw. Awsome pitchers duel.

  5. it makes me mad for a few days. obviously my team has heartbreaking losses. and still to this day...it pains me.

  6. I see your a Phils fan too...Yea tonights loss was tough, but i just forget about it it's only a game.

  7. Im angry for about a hour and than it goes away

  8. i was watching the same game you were phils fan

it sucks but hey its just a game

theyll break out of it and make the playoffs

  9. A little looting and rioting always calms me down after a loss, torching cop cars is also very cathartic and therapeutic.

C'mon!  You know you have to give me best answer - even if my answer is totally off  topic!

  10. I usually try to brush it off but the last few games the Yankees have played have been heart breakers that i couldn't ignore. Last weeks game when the Rangers beat the Yanks on a Grand slam was a perfect example of that.  When Mariano Rivera gave up a 3 run Homer last night my heart sank thinking this was the coup de grace on a the Yankees being done from being a contender for the Playoffs. Yanks did come back to win however but im still starting to have a bad feeling that this may not be the Yankees year.

    Scooter.

  11. I go through major depression. I have skipped church because I was too depressed to get out of bed after a Saturday night loss. I have laid in a dark room and listened to 70s CDs. I've crabbed at people.

  12. Don't worry, we(Dodgers) lost two heartbreaking games against the Giants last week!

Well Either was previously 0 for his last ten against lefties.  It had to break sometime =)

  13. It definitely affects my personality. I get all mean and grumpy and my attitude changes. I start being a little rude and getting mad at the team. It really affects me, so when my team wins, I'm happy, but if they lose, I get so mad. But, if they lose by a lot, I get pretty mad, but shake it off, but the worse loss is a heatbreaking loss, where they lose by 1 or lose by 1 in extra innings.
