Question:

What else can be the problem with these DTC Codes for 2003 Chevy Venture?

Please help me! I am getting readouts from Advance Auto Parts of: PO107 MAP/BARO Circuit Low Input and PO108 MAP/BARO Circuit High Input and PO118 Engine Coolant Temp Circuit High Input.

I have replaced both the Coolant Temperature Sensor and the MAP Barometric Pressure Sensor. The store sales guy stated that sometimes mechanics know what the "other" common problems can be.

To save me another trip to the mechanic, can anyone help interpret?

The vehicle when I start, I need to give it gas (throttle) on start to keep an idle. I need to maintain the gas pedal down for about 10 seconds. Then I can sit idle for about 1 minute and then the vehicle will putter out. These seems to be intermittent (every 4-5 errands).

Any help, thoughts, ideas are appreciated.

  1. Check both the electrical connection and the wires leading to the map sensor, making sure the wires are not broken or touching somewhere (maybe inside the plug). also check the vacuum line connection and the entire vacuum line to make sure it isn't getting sucked closed or has a hole in it. After you have done that disconnect the battery for a minute or two and drive it back up and have the codes read again. Sounds like a vacuum issue to me.
