As well as the chance to win the 2010 Qatar Masters, Westwood could have pushed his world ranking up from No. 4 to No. 3, which would have been his highest ever placing. Westwood didn't even need to win, he just needed to finish as runner up to Robert Karlsson, but alas Westwood bogeyed the 16th hole and missed birdie putts on the 17th and 18th to miss the No. 3 spot.
