  1. The Navigli for the street market... and in the evenings for some fun in the pubs.

Contact the British Chamber of Commerce (BCC)... drop by and talk to some of the staff. They know where the expats hang out for beers and what not. The American Chamber organizes things to do too. There is also an American Business Club that organizes stuff to do - get more info. at ACC.

Try the Kooka Bar - Australian Bar at Piazzale Libia, 3

The American Consolate has some posting of expat events in Milan.

There - this should halp you begin to net work with the expat community in Milano.... fiolks are always ready to party in town and organize stuff to do out of town.

Here is some stuff to do outsideof town:

Out side of Milan - Milan's hinterland.

    1. Venice is a 3 hour one way and 3 hour return. Very doable. Leave on a 7 am train and return to Milan on the 6pm train, in time for dinner in Milan

    2. Verona is another day trip - about 1 and half hour train ride one way.

    3. You can also do Genoa in a day. Great city - best pesto in the world!

    4. A day trip to Bergamo Alto - the old part of Bergamo above the new part.
