What else would be compatible with a..........?

1 Harlequin Shrimp, 1 redi seahorse and a 1 Striped Mandarinfish. and maybe something small that can live with these in a 30-40 gallon tank and which is better a long tank or a tall tank

Get a stars fish named patrick, and long tank is better.

For seahorses you should have a tall tank.  The other 2 it doesn't really matter.

A pipefish would be okay, as well as some gobies.

well the green mandrainfish needs larger tank and they need lots of live rock cause there are some foods that they need

well you can add a cardinal fish ,small angel like coral beauty angel or bicolor angel

or more inverts dont buy coral banded shrimp as it iwll kill any other shrimp that you have in the tank the smae goes to the the mantis shrimp they will kill every fish and every invert that you have

also you can add some small gobies my favorite gobies are neon gobies

Mandarins do better in 55 gallons plus, or else they run out of food and starve.

Get the largest tank you can get, especially if you're not experienced in maintaining marine water quality.

Also, harlequins do best in pairs.
