What else would you suggest I add to our aquarium?

we already have various non aggressive fish... fully aquatic frogs... newts and ghost shrimp

What kind of fish do you already have? What size tank do you have? How long has it been set up? I don't think it's a good idea to mix fish and frogs though.

I hope you have at least 30 gallons. Frogs and newts take up a lot of space. I suggest live plants if you are up for it. Keeping live plants can be a challenging though. Live plants can light up any aquarium and it looks better than fake plants.

what about a male beta. very pretty and easy to maintain since it doesnt need an air system.   just don't put two males in a small area they will fight generally
