  1. The first of the "secret" documents that had been kept by the US for so long are now being released. They were under lock and key for 50 years. The British records were sealed for 75 years and are yet to be released. It does appear, however ,that Roosevelt and Churchill were more secretive than hitherto thought. Some would say Roosevelt came very,very close to ignoring the Constitution. Some now say he did.There is anecdotal evidence with a rather compelling amount of memos, wires and conversations indicating Roosevelt and Churchill had decided when and under what circumstances the US would enter the war. These are quoted in the compelling book titled " Days of Infamy" by John Costello. Research covered over 20 years.I just finished finished it and now will await the release of the British files with great excitement. It's a great book.
