What energy changes occur when a candle is lit?

  1. Basically a candle is made from a plant dye.

    So it has chemical energy stored in it.

    When a candle is lit the heat makes the volatile(gaseous) particles to burn.

    The heat also makes the candle liquid.

    A small amount of the candle is lost as vapour.

    The rest is still usable BUT nobody bothers it.
