  1. Solar energy, hyrdo energy, wind energy, biofuels...

  2. Hey!  Global warming is global  What do you mean by global warming overtaking the west side of America (by the way, America is a vertical hemisphere almost 300 years older than is our USA - the "of" in our nation's name means "of the hemisphere of America).

Why would everyone be in the mountan ranges?  Where would they get food???????????  NOT IN THE MOUNTAINS!

Energy source?  I would hope that by 2050, the world will have embraced pure hydrogen (not hybrid).  Pure hydrogen comes from water and produces its own electricity and hydrogen fuel to power its own creation, and internal combustion hydrogen exhaust is 98% water vapor.

Solar is not productive enough, but as an auxilliary power supply, it can suffice.  Railroad crossings in the desert have been solar-powered for over fifteen years now, in places like Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, and Utah.  But it will not power a house!

  3. In a montane environment, I imagine that there would be plenty of wind energy available, as well as hydro-electric from the potential energy of all that rainwater. Solar may also be available, but perhaps only as a more seasonal power source. In addition, muscle power and biofuel (such as wood coppicing) would also help.
