What engineering jobs are the best?

If by best you mean highest paid. then chemical engineering is the best.  Mechanical, electrical, any computer related, are all a really close second depending on what survey you refer to.  However, there are probably 30 to 40 different engineering degrees offered at various schools across the country.  And everyone of those have different options attached to them or different sub fields you can specialize in depending on your interest.  

I am not sure which offer the most job security.  I suppose that would depend on the market you choose to live in.  I would not bet it was a computer related engineering field, however.  Anything having to do with energy production or distribution (except petroleum engineering I would be careful) will be big as well any medical related disciplines.

Totally depends on what you like. Pretty sure chemical gets paid the most, but personally I have chemistry. Mechanical is pretty sweet, lots of variety of jobs you can do. Electrical is math intense and weird. There is agricultural engineering...
