What equipment do i need to put VHS tapes on to laptop?

If you have a mini dv camcorder, check if it has a line in/DV in function as you can record the vhs onto mini dv and then connect a firewire cable to your laptop and digitize all the footage  :)

well i have a wintv usb tv tuner for watching the tv on my pc. it has a co-ax socket for the arial. what i do is connect the VCR to that socket instead of the tv, then play the tape, and record as an avi file on the pc.

then just convert it to DVD format then burn it to disk!
