  1. You only need an antenna, assuming you're within 60 or 70 miles of the TV transmitter towers. Check antennaweb and tvfool to see where your digital stations are and what kind of antenna you'll need.


  2. Your HDTV cannot produce HD without an HD source. You need one, such as Digital (HD) Cable, Satelite, HD-DVD (now dead) or BLU-RAY to see anything in HD - True HD is 720p/1080p HDTV, 480p is just EDTV.
