A grow room (two or three if you've room), sealed, vented with clean air.

Metal Halide / High Pressure Sodium lights for optimum growth. You can get away with a few decent flourecents for mother and clones.

Nutrients (organic!), soil, perlite or vermiculite.

If you want to really get into it an EC metre (for nutrients) and ph test kit either soild or water.

Cannabis plants grow like any other plant, you just need to learn how to fine tune your grow techniques and alter the grow cycle for the best results and utlimately your end crop.

lights from your local flower store or home depot of lowes garnden center. clean soil the kind in a bag at the store if u use anything ealse it will die. any kind from the store will do. a LARGE pot as the roots will expand rapidly.

Police Helicopter Infrared can spot the massive heat produced by CFs.  Its either your boiler is stuffed or you have a CF in your house.  Be warned you will be busted

kushtoe's got the right idea...

Best is two rooms/closets/spaces - one for vegetative growth (can be fluorescent lights), one for flowering, (best with high pressure sodium lighting). Fluorescents can be used for both but yield will suffer. Soil is less complicated, hydro is more $ to set u but growth is faster and problems can be addressed more quickly. Check the grow forums for tons of good information.
