First aid kits can include a number of things depending on what level of first aide kit you get.  You can go all the way to simple things such as band-aids to advanced things as sutures.  A general first aid kit will contain alcohol pads, band-aids, gauze, 4x4's, some kind of pain relieving pill, gloves, and some kind of gauze wrap.  You can buy these in the medicine or outdoors section in Wal-Mart.
