What essential items should a put in my makeup bag????

i want to keep a small makeup bag in my purse to use during skool for touchups. what kind of things should i put in there?

this might seem like a dumb question but i always have a hard time trying to decide>>>.

lol. cover up definitely. lipgloss. maybe some mascara. dont need to bring everything from home...

Wow. The answers I've read are ridiculous. Do NOT bring mascara, cause it'll just clump everything up if you're apply on already dry mascara-ed (?) lashes. Do not bring eyeshadow cause if you reapply it'll fall onto your lashes and you CANNOT get rid of that by applying even more mascara. It'll just clump, like I said.

I would suggest:

1. Powder - cause everyone gets a bit oily, to even things out.

2. Chapstick - Burt's Bees is the best.

3. Lipstick/Lipgloss - whatever you use.

4. Blush (Stain or Powder) - cause if you put powder, your blush will be blended into it.

Honestly, if you need to touch up in the middle of the day, then you need better makeup. I use MAC. I know it is a bit pricey but it lasts for 12 hours and counting. I never touch up. Only my lip stuff cause of drinking throughout the day. Overall, you save in makeup and looking too insecure by carrying so much makeup in your bag.

The girls gave good answers. The things that you MUST bring, and the makeup that tends to get messed up as the day goes on. Not everything though. I also always bring those papers that blot oil off your face. They work wonders and I don't feel as sweaty :)

Probably like a small travel hairbrush (in case your hair gets messy), a cover up stick (it's small and works), lipgloss, eyeliner, and mascara.

NOT a dumb question!  

You need you gloss/lipstick-everyone will say that.  Try Tarte's double sided glosses so you can mix and match and have more than one choice.  I also reccomend a stain like Benefit Posie Tint.  I keep it in my purse and use it on lips AND cheeks and slap my gloss over it! And you need powder for complexion touchups.  Lastly, go to Sephora and hit up Beauty to Go.  They have mini mascaras perfect for the purse!   Now you have your whole look ready to go in case of beauty emergency!

some type of lip color (for a fresh look)

mascara (to give you a "fuller" vibe)

blush (even blush from the dollar store!)
