  2. first for people who do not believe in invitro fertilization and feel as though babies should be concieved "naturally" the way god intended it. secondly, the embryo is killed when the stem cells are removed, and this must happen after fertilization. this means that an actual baby who is a few days old but still a baby, is killed. also the idea of harvesting actual human babies for scientific research and destroying them is not a very popular idea.
