  3. King Henry III was English through his father, John I of England, who was a desecendant of William I the Conqueror and the first born in England after the Norman Conquest of 1066.

    King Henry III was half French. His mother, Isabella of Angoulême was countess of Angoulême and queen consort of England. She was the only daughter and heir of Aymer Taillifer, Count of Angoulême, by Alix de Courtenay; her maternal great-grandfather was King Louis VI of France.

    Henry VIII was also Scottish from his father's side, John I's paternal grandmother was Empress Matilda, who was half Scottish. Her mother was Matilda of Scotland, whose parents were Malcolm III of Scotland and Saint Margaret of Scotland.
