  1. Polish, Czech (Rychlík) and Slovak (Rýchlik): nickname from an agent noun derived from Polish rychły ‘speedy’, ‘forthcoming’, Czech rychlý , Slovak rýchly ‘quick’.

  2. My guess is Polish or some similar Slovak region.  If you really wanted to obtain information regarding not only your ethnicity, but also your specific ancestry and heritage, you could research your origins; however, extensive researching usually costs a considerable amount of $$$.  Be careful if you become a member of a genealogy website, (ancestry.com comes to mind) as they tend to have lots of great sounding offers.  You can find interesting information pertaining to your relatives if you want to spend the time.  You could also check it out with the Mormons.  They have vast genealogical information they’ll share, again for a price.

  3. First, I think you mean what's the origin of the name, because if you mean ethnicity, I would say Caucasian.

I don't know the name, but I think you are looking at Eastern European, probably slavic (Polish, Czech, Slovak, etc.). My bet would be Polish.

Bear in mind that names like this one have often been anglicized when the first name-bearers moved to America, and so the original name may not actually look the same.
